The elegance of this format presents an additional challenge to setters in constraining the solutions to initial letters of only one appearance of each of the 26 letters of the alphabet, mitigated slightly by allowing two such where across and down lights share the same start point. Eclogue has a penchant for this format and could well return to it in the future.
